Susan B. AnthonySusan B. Anthony (born in 1820), played a pivotal role in the women's suffrage moemvent. She was an American social reformer and women's rights activist. She was harsly ridiculed and even jailed for her actions. Over time, perception of her changed dramatically. She became the first woman to be on US coinage - the 1979 dollar coin.
